HBO’s ‘Harry Potter’ Series Begins Filming, New Cast and Crew Announced
Brickinfo News Agency – Production has officially commenced for the HBO Original series based on the Harry Potter books at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom. The series is slated for release in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max, including upcoming markets such as Germany, Italy, and the UK.
New additions to the cast include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
The production has also announced several new department heads. Among them are Adriano Goldman as Director of Photography, Cate Hall for Hair and Makeup Design, and Paul Herbert as Stunt Coordinator. Mark Holt will serve as Head of Special Effects, while Mara LePere-Sloop takes on Production Design. Naomi Moore is the Set Decorator, with John Nolan heading Creature Design. Alexis Wajsbrot and Dom Sidoli are leading Visual Effects as Head and Producer, respectively, alongside previously announced Costume Designer Holly Waddington.
The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod is executive producing and directing multiple episodes for HBO, in collaboration with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. Executive producers also include J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts from Brontë Film and TV, along with David Heyman from Heyday Films.
