Yonlapa Releases New Single “Saltburn” Ahead of October EP
Brickinfo News Agency – Thai indie-pop band Yonlapa has released “Saltburn,” their latest single and the first track from an upcoming EP due in October 2025. This release follows their 2023 album, Lingering Gloaming, and extensive touring across Asia.
“Saltburn” presents a different artistic direction for the Chiang Mai-based group, focusing on raw and energetic elements. The song delves into less overt human emotions, such as desire, anger, and possessiveness. The band aimed to express these sentiments through both the lyrical content and musical arrangement, creating a more direct listening experience.

“We all have complex emotions inside us,” the band stated. “With ‘Saltburn,’ we wanted to tap into those feelings and have fun with it. We hope people can connect with the beat and energy of the song.”
In addition to new music, Yonlapa is scheduled to perform at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan this July. The festival is recognized as one of Asia’s significant music events. This appearance marks a notable step in the band’s efforts to expand its global audience.
Formed in 2019, Yonlapa is an indie pop band from Chiang Mai, Thailand. Their sound blends melodic elements with psychedelic and alternative influences. Their initial EP, First Trip, was released in 2020, followed by the full-length album Lingering Gloaming in 2023. The band’s first full-album live show in Bangkok in early 2024 sold out, leading to further performances across Asia. Yonlapa is now preparing for their new EP and additional live dates in new territories.
