TrueMove H Secures Key Spectrum in Latest Auction, Bolstering Thailand’s Digital Infrastructure

Brickinfo News Agency – TrueMove H, a subsidiary of True Corporation, has reportedly secured licenses for 70 MHz in the 2300 MHz band and 20 MHz in the 1500 MHz band during the most recent spectrum auction. This acquisition positions True Corporation with an 8-band spectrum portfolio, which is currently the most extensive in Thailand. The company states this will support ongoing network modernization and aim to enhance digital experiences nationwide.

The successful bids for TrueMove H included 21,770,000,168 baht for the 70 MHz on the 2300 MHz spectrum band. This band is designed for use with both 5G and 4G services, integrating with True’s existing infrastructure for improved speeds, wider coverage, and network performance. Additionally, the 2300 MHz band is expected to enhance the efficiency of the 2600 MHz band, furthering the delivery of full 5G capabilities.

TrueMove H also acquired 20 MHz of the 1500 MHz spectrum for 4,653,960,168 baht. This investment is intended to bolster future network capabilities, offering advantages in improving 5G performance and expanding 4G capacity. The 1500 MHz band is anticipated to increase overall network capacity and enhance download coverage, addressing rising data demand in both urban and remote areas. When combined with other spectrum bands or utilized through Carrier Aggregation technology, it is expected to facilitate faster internet speeds, more stable connectivity, and reduced network congestion.
