Brickinfo News Agency – Krungthai Card Public Company Limited has awarded a full debt clearance prize worth over 1.5 million baht to a disciplined cash cardholder as part of its 2026 campaign. The initiative aims to alleviate household financial pressures in Thailand by incentivizing responsible borrowing and consistent repayment habits during ongoing economic uncertainties.

For the first round of the Debt Clearance 2026 campaign, KTC distributed 50 rewards totaling 2,463,708 baht. The distribution included one 100 percent clearance prize and 49 partial rewards covering 10 percent of the winners’ outstanding balances. The program is part of the company’s broader strategy to maintain a sustainable credit portfolio by rewarding individuals who demonstrate strict repayment discipline.

The first-prize recipient, Natapol Boonthanon, a business owner and KTC PROUD cash card user for over 12 years, had his total debt of 1,522,758.11 baht completely cleared. He noted that the reward serves as an opportunity to reset his financial plans, bolster his business liquidity, and support his family. Natapol had utilized the cash card as working capital for his enterprise during a period when entrepreneurs faced significant limitations in accessing formal financing. Other beneficiaries in this round included Siridech Meesiri and Ratchakrit Klongpayabal, who received 10 percent balance clearances of 10,182 baht and 22,445 baht, respectively.

Phichamon Jitpentham, Head of Personal Loans at KTC, stated that the campaign is designed to support members in reducing their financial burdens and restoring flexibility to their financial goals. “In an environment where household financial pressure remains elevated, KTC believes that positive financial incentives, together with the promotion of repayment discipline, can help encourage more responsible credit behavior over time,” she said, adding that the effort aims to provide encouragement to those managing their credit responsibly.

The campaign will run through the end of 2026, offering a total of 600 prizes, which includes 12 full clearance rewards and 588 partial ones. Eligible cardholders can register via SMS, the official website, or the KTC Mobile application. In line with responsible lending practices, KTC advises consumers to borrow only what they need and can afford to repay, noting that annual interest rates range from 20 to 25 percent for the KTC PROUD cash card and 21 to 24 percent for vehicle-backed loans.
