Brickinfo News Agency – Global combat sports giant ONE Championship has officially initiated legal proceedings against Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon, citing multiple breaches of contractual obligations. The lawsuits have been filed across three jurisdictions, including Thailand, Singapore, and Japan, as the organization seeks financial damages following a prolonged dispute over the fighter’s current status and professional conduct.

The legal action follows what ONE Championship describes as repeated violations of signed agreements. According to a formal statement from the organization, the decision stems from a strict policy regarding contractual integrity, specifically addressing the dissemination of misleading information and potentially defamatory statements. The promotion emphasized that while they have consistently acted in good faith, the repeated disregard for established obligations necessitated a firm legal response to protect the interests of the business ecosystem.

In a direct statement regarding the escalation, ONE Championship clarified their position:

“However, when contractual obligations are repeatedly ignored, we must take appropriate and decisive action for the benefit of all stakeholders within the ONE ecosystem. Investigations are ongoing, and we will continue to coordinate closely with the relevant authorities in each country as legal procedures move forward. These legal actions have been initiated to seek appropriate damages in the respective countries.”

This move contrasts sharply with recent public comments made by Rodtang Jitmuangnon. In late March, the flyweight champion took to social media to address his relationship with the promotion, claiming that there were no internal conflicts. Rodtang asserted that his previous contract had simply expired and that he was currently in the process of negotiating a new deal. He further indicated that his upcoming high-profile match against Takeru Segawa was intended to be a special attraction bout.

The timing of this litigation casts a shadow over the highly anticipated ONE Samurai 1 event, scheduled for April 29 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The headline bout features Rodtang versus Takeru for the Interim ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship. While fans have been eagerly awaiting this matchup, the legal dispute introduces significant uncertainty regarding the event’s logistics and the fighter’s participation.

At this stage, ONE Championship has declined to provide further granular details regarding the specific terms of the breach, citing the active nature of the ongoing investigations and legal filings. The combat sports community is now awaiting a formal response from Rodtang’s legal representatives as the case moves toward the courts in multiple nations.
