TV Girl Announces Bangkok Concert This December

Brickinfo News Agency – San Diego-based indie band TV Girl has announced a solo concert in Bangkok on December 1, 2024, at Samyan Mitrtown Hall. This concert is part of their upcoming Asian tour, set to commence in November.

Comprising members Brad Petering, Jason Wyman, and Wyatt Harmon, TV Girl’s music draws inspiration from 1960s French pop and Southern Californian soul. Their debut EP, Lonely Women, gained online popularity by blending hip-hop beats with girl-group vocals.

In 2014, the band released their full-length album, French Exit, which became a notable work. It features electronic sounds interspersed with guitar, organ, and vocals, evoking themes of confused love, despair, and longing. The album includes the popular track “Lovers Rock.” Their second full-length album, Who Really Cares, shifted in style from French pop to 90s hip-hop and modern psychedelic pop, reflecting on the complexities of passionate, confused love in one’s twenties.

TV Girl’s musical style has evolved over time. Their latest album, Grapes Upon the Vine, utilizes a gospel-inspired approach to explore more mature perspectives on love and other aspects of life, including the afterlife. This work has led to the band performing at various international festivals.
