SIRUP Drops New Single with Daichi Yamamoto, Announces Album ‘OWARI DIARY’
Brickinfo News Agency – Japanese R&B and neo-soul artist SIRUP has released his new single, “OUR HEAVEN feat. Daichi Yamamoto,” a follow-up to his recent track “UNDERCOVER feat. Ayumu Imazu.” The release comes as SIRUP announces his upcoming third full-length album, “OWARI DIARY,” which is set to arrive in September. The new single, a collaboration with Kyoto-born rapper Daichi Yamamoto, is a club-ready track that combines a hypnotic rhythm with themes of burnout and community.
“OUR HEAVEN,” produced by KM, is built on a vibrant and bass-driven groove. The song explores feelings of being overworked and overstimulated, with SIRUP and Daichi Yamamoto’s verses touching on themes of identity and finding connections in a fast-paced modern world. The lyrics do not offer a solution or an escape, but instead invite the listener to be present in the moment.
The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Ryo Suda, known for his work with artists like RADWIMPS and BAD HOP. The video, filmed on location in Tokyo, captures the early morning atmosphere of the city, specifically referencing the areas of Mishuku and Route 246. The clip features appearances from both Daichi Yamamoto and producer KM.
SIRUP’s third album, “OWARI DIARY,” will be released on September 3. The 11-track record will include previously released singles such as “CHEESE CAKE feat. Zion.T,” as well as new songs like “KIRA KIRA” and “LOCATION.” A Blu-ray edition of the album will also be available, featuring live footage from his NEXT LIFE TOUR 2025 performance at KT Zepp Yokohama. The album announcement coincides with his upcoming 8th-anniversary show, “DIARY,” on September 14, where he is set to perform songs from his new work.
