ARAYA Partners with AIS Business to Deploy 5G Digital Infrastructure for Smart Industrial Estate
Brickinfo News Agency – ARAYA Land Development Company Limited has announced a strategic partnership with AIS Business to integrate advanced 5G and fibre optic infrastructure across its 4,600-rai industrial estate, ARAYA – The Eastern Gateway. This collaboration aims to transform the site into a high-tech industrial township, specifically designed to meet the scalable demands of hyperscale data centers and advanced manufacturing sectors. By leveraging AIS’s digital ecosystem, the project seeks to provide a highly secure and stable environment that aligns with modern global investment trends and the Smart Industrial Estate (SMART I.E.) guidelines.
The development focuses on establishing a robust digital foundation to support tenants requiring high-capacity facilities. AIS Business is deploying a high-speed fibre optic redundant network alongside a private 5G industrial network to facilitate IoT-enabled machinery and automation. This infrastructure is further bolstered by cloud connectivity for enterprise data processing and intelligent monitoring systems to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity. These technical foundations are intended to enable real-time, data-driven operations for all businesses within the estate.
Kamonkarn Kongkathong, Managing Director of ARAYA Land Development Company Limited, emphasized that the shift in global investment requires ready-to-scale infrastructure. “Global investment trends are shifting and the data, technology and advanced manufacturing sectors expect reliable high-capacity infrastructure ready to scale with long term demand. With AIS Business now on board to develop ARAYA’s digital infrastructure, we are taking a crucial step towards enhancing our operational readiness to support new investments from companies and industries that demand highly stable, secure and integrated environments,” she stated.
In addition to core connectivity, the partnership introduces a suite of smart solutions including Smart Factory management, Smart Energy Management, and CCTV Analytics. These tools are engineered to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs for tenants. The project covers seven critical dimensions as outlined by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), including energy, environment, and logistics, with AIS specifically driving the Smart Digital dimension to ensure a seamless ecosystem.
Phupa Akavipat, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of AIS, highlighted the changing role of technology in the industrial sector. “Today, digital infrastructure is no longer merely ‘support’ but the ‘heart of investment,’ especially within modern industries. AIS Business has designed a bespoke ‘Digital Infrastructure Ecosystem’ for ARAYA, encompassing communication networks and digital platforms, to efficiently support all business dimensions,” he commented. He further noted that the collaboration goes beyond network installation, focusing instead on designing a future-proof ecosystem to maintain long-term competitive advantages.
