Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has outlined its strategy for integrating artificial intelligence into corporate environments, prioritizing data privacy, security, and human oversight. Speaking at the SCBX AI Outlook 2026 event in Thailand, the telecommunications company emphasized that as AI integration deepens, organizations must focus on robust data governance and responsible usage frameworks rather than solely adopting the technology for speed and operational efficiency.

Montri Stapornkul, Head of the Data Privacy Division at True Corporation Plc., highlighted the necessity of transitioning employees from simple AI users to AI orchestrators. This elevated role requires workers to define specific problems, determine appropriate data usage, and carefully validate the outcomes generated by artificial intelligence within their specific work contexts. Montri stressed that AI must function strictly as a decision support system rather than a final decision maker. Maintaining a human-in-the-loop approach ensures that accountability remains with human operators, preventing potential biases, data misuse, or unexplained errors in matters affecting personal data, safety, and overall organizational credibility.

To implement these standards, True mandates that responsible AI must be a shared duty across all departments. The company advocates for a “privacy by design” approach, requiring organizations to evaluate data sources, legality, protection measures, and system auditability before addressing broader security and functional requirements. True has established a corporate policy framework rooted in data privacy to govern data and AI usage, ensuring these guidelines are practically integrated into daily operations, customer service, and new business development.

Beyond internal operational policies, True views its organizational readiness as a foundational step for enabling Thailand’s broader digital economy, facilitating the deployment of AI, cloud services, and intelligent utilities at scale. “As many AI tools run on True’s connectivity and digital ecosystem, the reliability of infrastructure can no longer be measured only by speed or coverage. It must also be measured by the ability to protect data, ensure security, uphold transparency, and enable the responsible use of technology,” Montri stated. He further noted that True must start from within through policy, governance, and employee upskilling to ensure that AI creates real value built on a foundation of trust.

Brickinfo News Agency – The National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) has officially joined the European Space Agency (ESA) on the ARRAKIHS mission, an upcoming fast-class space telescope project scheduled for a 2030 launch to investigate the fundamental nature of dark matter. This collaboration marks the first time a Thai research institute has integrated into both the scientific and technical teams of an approved ESA space mission, utilizing Thailand’s CHALAWAN high-performance computing system to process essential mock image simulations for the international consortium.

Unanimously approved by all 23 ESA Member States during the Science Programme Committee meeting in Tenerife, Spain, on June 10-11, 2026, the ARRAKIHS space telescope is designated as ESA’s second Fast-class (F2) science mission. The project aims to survey a minimum of 80 Milky Way-like galaxies over a three to five-year period. By focusing on faint, low-surface-brightness structures such as stellar streams and tidal tails, the mission will analyze the remnants of ancient galaxy mergers. These observations will serve as fossil records to help astronomers test current dark matter models and trace the evolutionary timeline of the Universe.

Mock image simulations are critical for the preparation of this mission, enabling the ARRAKIHS Mission Consortium (AMC) to evaluate the telescope’s expected image quality and scientific capabilities prior to deployment. Dr. Krittapas Chanchaiworawit, a researcher in cosmology and high-energy astrophysics at NARIT, initiated the development of the mission’s core simulation software in 2018. He currently serves as the official liaison between the Thai institute and the AMC, a group comprising over 250 global scientists and engineers.

The heavy computational processing required for these simulations is primarily executed on NARIT’s CHALAWAN supercomputer, making it one of only four major global systems supporting the mission, alongside facilities in Spain, the United States, and Switzerland. The infrastructure is managed by Dr. Utane Sawangwit, while research assistant Wissarut Jarernsupapon handles the direct execution and performance optimization of the mission simulations. Furthermore, research assistant Narenrit Thananusak is actively applying the newly generated simulated data to advance independent research on galactic evolution.

Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation outlined its strategic shift toward intelligent digital infrastructure at the Global Telecom AIoT Summit 2026 in Bangkok, detailing plans to transform the domestic internet market with AI Home technologies while expanding enterprise AIoT solutions. The summit highlighted the company’s dual-pronged approach: extending consumer smart home platforms into Vietnam and deploying AI-driven camera and cloud solutions to tackle operational challenges for Thai businesses.

At the event held at The Ritz-Carlton in Bangkok, TrueOnline detailed its transition from a standard broadband provider to an enabler of a complete smart home ecosystem. Patchara Vanthongkam, Head of Digital Home at True Corporation, noted that while the broadband industry continues to compete on internet speed and pricing, the company is moving forward to open a new playing field to bring technology into everyday life. Driven by the TrueX platform, the company is integrating devices and services like the Thai-language intelligent assistant Ami, AI-powered CCTV, and pet care monitoring into a unified system to manage home security, entertainment, and energy.

Expanding this smart living model beyond Thailand, True Internet Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VNPT Technology, T3 Technology, and Zhejiang Tuya Smart Electronics. This partnership aims to study and develop the AI Home market in Vietnam. The collaborating organizations will jointly design an open platform tailored to local consumer behaviors, select compatible smart devices, and formulate a business model based on market conditions and successful use cases across Southeast Asia.

On the enterprise front, TrueBusiness is focusing on utilizing artificial intelligence to resolve fragmentation and data sovereignty issues for domestic companies. Dr. Teeradet Dumrongbhalasitr, Chief Business Officer, stated that AI has become a crucial infrastructure with the potential to unlock significant value for Thai businesses. He highlighted the deployment of a four-layer AIoT stack—comprising hardware, analytics software, scalable cloud processing, and cybersecurity—which has already reduced retail shrinkage by up to 60 percent and achieved a return on investment within 90 days across more than 1,000 retail branches.

To further solidify its enterprise offerings, TrueBusiness formalized a partnership with T3 Technology during the summit. The agreement centers on the joint development and deployment of cloud-based AI camera systems. This collaboration aims to deliver comprehensive AIoT solutions to SMEs and large enterprises in Thailand, supporting sectors ranging from smart manufacturing and retail to urban infrastructure.

Brickinfo News Agency – TrueBusiness has announced a nationwide partnership with Google for Education to establish an AI Ecosystem aimed at transforming Thailand’s higher education sector. This initiative is designed to transition local institutions into AI-Driven Universities by upgrading digital infrastructure, training educators for the AI era, and enhancing overall education quality to boost the country’s global competitiveness.

Under this collaboration, TrueBusiness will leverage its network infrastructure to provide specialized services, including Private Wi-Fi, to ensure seamless connectivity across campus environments. Concurrently, Google Workspace for Education will deploy its flexible, secure, and AI-driven tools, enabling students and teachers to collaborate efficiently from any device.

The initiative heavily emphasizes empowering educators through Gemini, an AI tool within Google Workspace for Education that assists teachers in gathering learning insights, brainstorming creative lesson plans, and building personalized study curriculums. To further streamline university operations, TrueBusiness will integrate automated systems, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), to reduce administrative paperwork, allowing faculty members to focus more on direct student engagement. Additionally, digital skills development training will be provided to educational staff through True Digital Academy.

Dr. Teeradet Dumrongbhalasitr, Chief Business Officer of True Corporation Plc., stated that transforming the Thai education sector in the AI era requires an ecosystem that supports learners, educators, and institutions simultaneously. He noted that True Corporation has previously worked with Google on the ‘AI for All Thais’ project, and this extended partnership aims to systematically integrate digital infrastructure, a world-class educational platform, and AI technology to establish digital roadmaps for Thai higher education. “Consequently, this partnership is not limited to merely adopting AI in classrooms; rather, it focuses on building a resilient AI-era education ecosystem,” Dumrongbhalasitr added.

Scott Wong, Southeast Asia & Northeast Asia (ex-JP) Lead for Google for Education, expressed that education serves as a foundation for opportunity and equality. He highlighted that combining TrueBusiness’ reach with Google’s secure, AI-driven tools will enable Thai universities to adopt technology in meaningful ways, creating a more collaborative and secure future for both students and educators.

To initiate this strategic alliance, the two organizations recently hosted a seminar titled “The Future of AI in Higher Education” at True Digital Park. The event brought together over 60 executives and faculty members representing 30 universities nationwide, including Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University, Maejo University, Naresuan University, Prince of Songkla University, and Burapha University. During the seminar, a representative from Naresuan University shared the institution’s experience in deploying these digital and AI solutions, showcasing its transition from a Smart University into an exemplary AI-Driven University.

Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has collaborated with the Thailand Sustainable Islands Network to launch the 30+ Islands Clean-Up: So Cool Mission 2026 on World Ocean Day, addressing both general and electronic waste across multiple coastal destinations, with Koh Samui acting as the pilot site.

The initiative expands the E-Waste TinkTookTee DTorJai program into island communities to tackle the environmental risks of improperly discarded electronics. Under this project, residents can discard electronic waste at designated collection points, utilizing the True App to locate drop-off points and receive rewards through a “Drop for Reward” system. True stated that the collected electronics will be processed through a systematic recycling workflow to fulfill its Zero E-Waste to Landfill commitment, supporting a circular economy.

Oliver Kittipong Veeratecha, Chief Brand and Communications Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited, stated that the company aims to protect marine environments by linking volunteer networks and local businesses. “In addition to addressing general waste that affects the marine environment, True also places great importance on raising awareness of electronic waste, or E-Waste, a silent environmental threat that many people may overlook,” Oliver said. “When improperly disposed of, E-Waste can release toxic substances and heavy metals into waterways and marine ecosystems, causing long-term environmental damage.”

To handle communication and coordination across the islands, True is utilizing its 5G network and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The company employs AI to monitor network quality continuously and manage energy efficiency at base stations by automatically adjusting operations based on real-time data demand. True has also deployed solar energy systems at its network sites to reduce operational energy consumption.

Aut Arunrattanapong, Head of Regional Management (South) of True Corporation Public Company Limited, explained that islands like Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao experience significant surges in data traffic during peak tourism periods. “During these periods, restaurants, cafés, hotels, tourism operators, visitors and the growing workation community generate significantly higher data traffic through social media engagement, video streaming, real-time content sharing, online meetings, digital payments and a wide range of digital services,” Aut said, noting that True uses AI to analyze usage patterns and optimize performance for these localized trends.

The cleanup operations serve as a prelude to the Thailand Sustainable Island Tourism Symposium 2026, which is scheduled to run from June 11–13 on Koh Samui to advance national sustainable tourism policies. True also noted its ongoing inclusion in global sustainability indices, having been ranked among the Top 1% of sustainable companies in the telecommunications industry by S&P Global for consecutive years.

Brickinfo News Agency – AIS Business has partnered with Microsoft Thailand to launch the “AI Ready for SMEs” initiative, a strategic project aimed at driving secure and practical Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption among Thai small and medium-sized enterprises. The initiative targets Thailand’s massive SME sector, which comprises over 3.13 million enterprises representing 99.6% of all businesses in the country, by offering tailored technology packages, nationwide educational roadshows, and customizable AI tools to enhance long-term digital competitiveness.

Mr. Phupa Akavipat, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), stated that as the national digital infrastructure provider, AIS is committed to elevating Thai businesses during the shift into the digital and AI era. He noted that this partnership combines an intelligent network with world-class AI technology to deliver smart solutions, aiming to make AI accessible, practical, and effective for businesses of all sizes through dedicated packages, workshops, and hands-on guidance programs.

The initiative is built upon three core components designed to support local entrepreneurs. First, AIS Business is introducing “SME AI Ready” packages integrated with Microsoft 365 and Copilot, backed by 24/7 technical assistance from the AIS Service Desk via Hotline 1740. Special incentives include free access to a Copilot workshop for the first 1,000 subscribers, alongside private on-site training sessions for businesses purchasing ten or more licenses.

Second, the collaboration includes a nationwide AI upskilling program featuring educational roadshows across seven regions, spanning Bangkok and major economic provinces, with a goal to train more than 700 SME entrepreneurs by the end of 2026. Microsoft will also integrate its Microsoft Elevate training curriculum into the AIS online learning platform to provide flexible, self-paced skills development.

Third, the project introduces AI Agent Templates designed for Copilot, allowing businesses to build and customize agents for specific roles. The rollout begins with a Business Assistant AI solution to provide operational insights, with plans to expand templates into human resources, finance, and vertical industries like smart manufacturing.

Mr. Dhanawat Suthumpun, Managing Director of Microsoft Thailand and Emerging Markets, highlighted that limitations in skills, talent, and budget have previously slowed down digital transformation for small businesses. However, he emphasized that in the age of AI, these barriers are significantly reduced, enabling SMEs to lower costs, make smarter decisions, and achieve growth, stating that competitive advantage is no longer defined by the size of an organization, but by how quickly it can adapt and turn technology into real impact.

Expressing support from the local business community, Mr. Supree Thongpetch, President of the Thai Small and Medium Enterprises Council, remarked that the project is a significant step forward that bridges the technology gap and allows SMEs to benefit from AI in a safe and convenient manner. The services and solutions under this initiative will be available from mid-June to September 2026.

Brickinfo News Agency – KASIKORN X Co., Ltd. (KX), a subsidiary of KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG), has officially introduced a new feature called “MeowDoo” on its automated expense-tracking application, MeowJot. The feature utilizes data analytics to transform income and expense data into monthly summaries presented through a financial fortune-telling concept. Designed to make personal finance more engaging, the tool aims to help Thai users understand their spending behavior and foster better financial discipline.

Mr. Chetaphan Siridanupath, KBTG Managing Director, stated that building financial discipline in the digital era requires both data and experience design that genuinely connect with users. He explained that the MeowDoo feature was developed to help users better understand their spending habits by analyzing data and presenting it as a clear overview. According to Siridanupath, the information is delivered in the form of a monthly financial fortune-telling experience familiar to Thai users who enjoy astrology, making personal finance more accessible and encouraging continuous monitoring of financial behavior.

The newly launched feature delivers monthly financial reports by providing users with three specific cards that reflect spending patterns, accompanied by explanatory text and visual summary charts. Additionally, a crystal ball function estimates potential financial scenarios for the upcoming month by linking user insights with key dates and events, such as public holidays and festivals, to assist in financial planning.

The development of MeowDoo stems from consumer insights indicating that while many individuals possess detailed expense data, they often lack the tools to interpret it practically. By adopting an interactive monthly report format, the platform intends to help users visualize their overall financial habits and increase regular engagement with the application.

Currently, the MeowJot app serves over 600,000 users, operating as an automated expense-tracking application that aggregates, analyzes, and categorizes financial transactions. The platform supports e-slips from 20 major financial and banking institutions in Thailand and offers comprehensive credit card transaction logging. KX plans to develop further features to expand its utility for modern consumers.
