Brickinfo News Agency – Worldwide end-user spending on artificial intelligence (AI) platforms and models is projected to reach $64 billion in 2026, representing a 63.4% increase from $39 billion in 2025, according to research published by Gartner, Inc. Spending on generative AI (GenAI) models is expected to expand by 117%, while investment in AI platforms will rise by 36.9% during the same year.

Enterprise AI budgets are undergoing increased scrutiny as organizations shift their focus toward usage efficiency, cost control, and measurable business outcomes. Spending is increasingly directed toward AI solution providers that can demonstrate explicit value across critical operational metrics, including cost, latency, performance, and reliability.

“Enterprise AI budgets are coming under greater scrutiny, with increased focus on usage efficiency, cost control and measurable outcomes,” said Arunasree Cheparthi, Senior Principal Research Analyst at Gartner. She highlighted that vendors embedding evaluation, cost transparency, and usage tracking directly into enterprise workflows hold a distinct advantage. However, as the market transitions toward usage-driven pricing, technology providers face growing pressure to demonstrate sustained adoption and durable profit margins.

This market shift is rapidly accelerating demand for domain-specific language models (DSLMs) and specialized AI models, which are forecast to achieve the fastest growth segment at 210% in 2026. Meanwhile, spending on foundation generative AI models is projected to increase by 104.2%, rising from $11.4 billion in 2025 to $23.4 billion in 2026.

In the platform sector, spending on AI platforms for data science and machine learning is forecast to reach $26.4 billion, up from $19.4 billion in 2025, while AI application development platforms will grow from $6.9 billion to $9.5 billion. Gartner projects that long-term market success will belong to vendors that enable enterprises to regulate, monitor, and optimize how AI technologies are deployed across their organizations.

Brickinfo News Agency – AIS Business has deployed a multi-operator enterprise eSIM connectivity network for IoT, developed in collaboration with Bridge Alliance and Thales. Built on the GSMA SGP.32 specification, the infrastructure enables regional enterprises to manage and switch IoT device connectivity across multiple mobile operators and countries through a single orchestration platform.

According to market research firm GlobalData, cellular IoT and machine-to-machine connections across the Asia-Pacific region are projected to reach 1.3 billion by 2030. Operating across multiple markets traditionally requires managing fragmented operator provisioning and distinct SIM profiles. The GSMA SGP.32 framework addresses these operational challenges by standardizing remote profile management for enterprise IoT applications.

The newly deployed platform combines Thales end-to-end IoT eSIM technology with orchestration capabilities from Bridge Alliance. Successful multi-operator trials were completed alongside alliance member operators, including Globe Telecom, Optus, and Singtel. Testing verified device compatibility using both IoT Profile Assistant Embedded (IPAe) and IoT Profile Assistant on Device (IPAd) standards, enabling automated network switching without physical SIM replacements.

Phupa Akavipat, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), stated that the solution aims to simplify connectivity management and support digital infrastructure across manufacturing, logistics, automotive, utilities, retail, and smart infrastructure sectors. Loo Boon Chee, CEO of Bridge Alliance, noted that adopting a unified eSIM framework accelerates cross-border IoT deployments across Asia-Pacific markets. Eva Rudin, Vice President of Mobile Connectivity Solutions at Thales, added that multi-operator consolidation on a single platform provides the operational flexibility needed for large-scale enterprise deployments.

The connectivity architecture is targeted at cross-border operations, including connected vehicles requiring continuous data for navigation and over-the-air updates, smart utility meters requiring long-term remote management, retail payment terminals needing constant uptime, and enterprise routers deployed across multiple geographic locations.

Brickinfo News Agency – Agentic AI is projected to disrupt enterprise software revenue models, putting up to $234 billion of enterprise application spending at risk from agentic arbitrage between now and 2030. According to research by Gartner, Inc., this exposure will account for approximately 20% of global enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) spending by the end of the decade as autonomous systems fundamentally change how software is priced, built, and consumed.

Agentic arbitrage occurs when AI agents autonomously execute complex tasks across multiple software systems, significantly reducing the necessity for human users to interact directly with traditional application user interfaces. George Brocklehurst, Managing Vice President at Gartner, stated that agentic AI alters the underlying economics of the software industry because these automated systems deliver direct business outcomes while bypassing user-experience-heavy applications, effectively rendering the traditional software layer invisible and decoupling user growth from vendor revenue growth.

This transition is expected to trigger a significant redefinition of the SaaS market, moving enterprise buyers away from purchasing separate tools or dashboard features toward purchasing direct operational outcomes. Gartner analysts noted that adding standard AI features often increases software costs without improving performance, whereas true agentic solutions require deep institutional memory and continuous customer context to generate a higher return on investment (ROI). While some vendors currently offer autonomous end-to-end workflow execution and cross-system orchestration, these deployments still heavily rely on specialized professional services.

The shift presents an existential challenge for incumbent software vendors relying on legacy dashboards and seat-based licensing models, forcing them to transition from interface-based value to outcome-based value by embedding agentic capabilities directly at the point of execution. Conversely, this market evolution opens massive revenue opportunities for AI-native startups and IT service providers capable of developing cross-domain platforms, redesigning workflows around artificial intelligence, and capturing incremental enterprise budgets unlocked by quantifiable ROI improvements.

Brickinfo News Agency – AIS and Bangkok Land Public Company Limited have formed a strategic partnership to deploy 5G networks, home broadband services, and enterprise digital infrastructure across more than 4,000 rai of Muang Thong Thani. The project, titled “Muang Thong NEXT: The Smart & Connected City,” aims to transform the area into a model smart economic district by integrating advanced digital infrastructure across residential, commercial, educational, and entertainment sectors.

Under this collaboration, AIS will upgrade the existing network infrastructure in the district to 5G-Advanced using carrier aggregation technology. This upgrade is intended to deliver higher speeds and lower latency to handle high-density usage during major exhibitions and concerts at IMPACT venues. Additionally, the deployment will include the integration of the WiFi 7 wireless standard through AIS 3BB Fibre3 to support residential smart homes, remote working, and digital public services.

Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Land Public Company Limited, stated that the development focuses on enabling the entire city area to operate more efficiently through connected systems. He noted that technologies such as AI-powered CCTV, smart traffic management systems, and integrated data platforms are being implemented to improve safety and operational capacity, particularly when managing large crowds during events.

Mr. Pratthana Leelapanang, Chief Executive Officer of AIS, explained that the company is providing the core intelligent digital infrastructure to support the city’s growth. He emphasized that the initiative focuses on delivering practical functionality across the district, ranging from cloud and AI solutions for businesses to smart parking, virtual classrooms, and enhanced cybersecurity systems designed to facilitate everyday operations for residents and visitors.

The initiative transforms Muang Thong Thani from an exhibition and event destination into a fully connected urban hub.
Brickinfo News Agency – The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC), and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited have expanded their partnership to boost travel from Thailand to South Korea in the second half of 2026. The joint initiative introduces promotional programs and privileges across air travel, beauty, wellness, shopping, dining, and lifestyle sectors to accommodate changing Thai consumer preferences.

According to KTO data, South Korea recorded 333,930 Thai visitors in 2025. In the first five months of 2026, the number of Thai arrivals grew by 20% compared to the same period in the previous year. Following this upward trend, the KTO has set a target to attract 410,000 Thai tourists by the end of 2026.

Data from KTC credit card spending between January 1 and June 30, 2026, indicated that South Korea ranked as the second-highest overseas destination for total card expenditure. Transaction values increased by 40% year-on-year, while the number of KTC cardmembers making transactions in South Korea grew by 45%. The spending spanned transportation, beauty, wellness, retail, and dining sectors.

"Thailand remains a key source market for South Korea within ASEAN," stated Park Sunghyeuck, President of the Korea Tourism Organization. "Thai travelers are increasingly exploring varied aspects of Korean culture, cuisine, and emerging regional destinations. This collaboration helps facilitate access and offers relevant benefits to encourage travel beyond traditional locations." Park added that KTO's 2026 promotional strategy focuses on themed experiences, including wellness tourism, sports tourism, pet-friendly travel, and regional exploration.

Pittaya Vorapanyasakul, President and Chief Executive Officer of KTC, noted that South Korea maintains strong popularity among Thai consumers for travel and lifestyle activities. "Our transactional data confirms consistent engagement across multiple categories during trips. This partnership connects traveler requirements with targeted privileges from flight bookings to on-site expenditures in South Korea," Vorapanyasakul said.

Thamanoon Kuprasert, Head of Sales Agencies and Global Corporate Account and Acting Director of Sales at Thai Airways International, confirmed that South Korea remains a primary international destination for the airline, serving leisure travelers, families, and cultural tourists. "For the second half of 2026, Thai Airways and KTC are providing specific routing benefits to improve value for passengers," Kuprasert stated.

The joint campaign includes a 2,000 THB discount per seat on eligible round-trip Thai Airways flights to South Korea when booked using a specific promotional code and a KTC credit card between August 1 and December 10, 2026. Additional offers include beauty promotions via the UNNI Korea Aesthetic Clinic platform, retail incentives at Lotte Duty Free Korea, and targeted dining cashback options.

Brickinfo News Agency – Global fitness race organizer HYROX has announced plans to stage its largest-ever event in Asia, BYD HYROX Bangkok, from August 13 to 16, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). The four-day competition is expected to attract more than 22,000 local and international participants, marking a significant expansion for the brand in the region.

The upcoming event follows the BYD HYROX Bangkok race held in March 2026, which recorded nearly 17,500 participants. The growth has prompted organizers to extend the event duration from three to four days to accommodate rising demand from the regional fitness community. Currently, HYROX operates in over 30 countries and regions, with 17 events scheduled across major Asian cities for the 2025/2026 season.

Gary Wan, Managing Director of HYROX Asia Pacific, stated that the event represents the largest race in the history of the organization in Asia, highlighting Bangkok's strategic importance as a growth hub. To support this growth, HYROX has established a local ecosystem in Thailand, partnering with more than 170 gyms nationwide, including 100 operators within Bangkok, to deliver standardized training programs.

The choice of venue plays a critical role in managing the scale of the event. Wan noted that the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center provides the necessary infrastructure for the multi-day competition, laying the foundation for the expanded race format.

Surapol Utintu, Chief Executive Officer of QSNCC, stated that the event is projected to stimulate Thailand's tourism and broader economy by drawing global attendees. He emphasized the venue's commitment to serving as a platform for large-scale international events and connecting international audiences with the local sports and lifestyle sectors.

Looking forward, HYROX intends to use Thailand as a base for further expansion into Southeast Asia, with upcoming launches planned for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Jakarta, Indonesia. The organization is also exploring potential entries into Vietnam and the Philippines, alongside the development of "HYROX Youngstars," a youth-focused initiative featuring modified courses for children aged 8 to 15.
