Brickinfo News Agency – The 2nd Army Area has issued a summary report regarding the security situation along the Thai-Cambodian border for December 10, 2025. Between 05:20 AM and 09:54 AM, military officials confirmed that armed engagements took place across four provinces in the lower Northeastern region (Southern Isan), specifically in Buriram, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani. The army emphasized that these operations were conducted in accordance with international rules of engagement, serving as a necessary response to prior provocations and attacks initiated by Cambodian forces on December 7. As of the latest update, the exchange of fire in most areas has not yet ceased.

According to the situation report, the conflict remains active across multiple strategic fronts.

In Buriram, a significant clash was reported at the Chong Sai Taku border pass, where fighting is currently ongoing. Meanwhile

In Surin appears more widespread, with engagements identified across five main fronts. These include the Chong Chom-Chong Prue-Chong Rayi line, the Prasat Ta Khwai area, the Prasat Khana front, the Chong Krang area, and the Prasat Ta Muean Thom historical site. Military personnel on the ground in Surin report intermittent exchanges of fire, indicating that tensions in these sectors have not yet de-escalated.

In Sisaket, the 2nd Army Area detailed activity across four key defensive lines, with particular focus on the contentious Preah Vihear Temple area. Clashes were reported covering the sectors of Chong Sam Tae, Don Tuan, Phu Phi, Satta Som, Phanom Prasit So, and Chong Ta Thao. Additionally, skirmishes were noted near Pha Mor E Daeng, Huai Ta Maria, and the Phu Makhuea-Chong Don Ao-Phalan Yao-Phalan Hin Paet Kon line. However, the report noted that the Chong Sa-ngam permanent border crossing has not yet reported any violent incidents.

Further east in Ubon Ratchathani, the conflict is concentrated in two primary areas: the Chong Bok front and the Chong An Ma front. Similar to the other provinces, troops in Ubon Ratchathani are experiencing intermittent clashes. The 2nd Army Area continues to monitor the situation closely, maintaining a defensive posture to protect national sovereignty while adhering to standard military protocols amidst the ongoing hostilities.
