The five-member group consists of Amber, Boreum, DiR, Kkami, and the maknae (youngest) Shinnyong, whose ages range from 17 to 19. The members were previously known for performing K-Pop cover songs while wearing Fursuits and were recognized with the “Best Performance” award at FurMIT 2024 in Taiwan. BASTTIE’s official debut is managed by Cozy Mozy Entertainment. The group’s name, BASTTIE, is an acronym for “BASTard Teens In Everywhere,” intended to convey the meaning of “naughty but cute boys around you.”

Their debut single, “First Step,” addresses the theme of beginning a new chapter, with the accompanying music video illustrating the members’ coming together and their initial joint journey. To highlight the craftsmanship in their presentation, BASTTIE launched the STEP TOGETHER project, a collaboration with five different Fursuit makers across Asia. For instance, the Fursuit worn by member Shinnyong in the music video was designed by BLANC22 from Taiwan.

BLANC22 commented on the partnership, stating, “I feel grateful that this collaboration has spread the idea that Furry can have its own fashion and attitude.” BASTTIE also shared their perspective with media outlets Global Furry Television and FurTimes, saying, “The STEP TOGETHER project was created to emphasize the many people behind the music video. We hope this collaboration will help foster a mutually supportive fandom.”

The group’s official fan club is named BADDIES/. Following the single release, BASTTIE released a campaign video on October 14, 2025. This video was screened at Infurnity, a Furcon (a Furry convention) held in Taichung, Taiwan, where members Shinnyong and Boreum participated in the Furry Fashion Show on November 1.
